Exo is an AI agent harness built by Alex Krentsel with Martin Casado and Ankur Goyal that has full visibility into its own code and runtime logs, enabling it to safely edit and evolve all aspects of itself at runtime. Unlike typical agents that only update memory or create skills, Exo's minimal but opinionated architecture isolates components so they can be safely and incrementally self-improved, cloned, and managed across a lineage of clones.
